The storm collar works together with the Roof Flashing to provide a waterproof seal where the chimney passes through the roof. The storm collar is installed directly above the flashing and must be sealed to the chimney pipe using high-temperature silicone sealant (RTV 500°F or better), sold separately. Made of 304 stainless steel for superior corrosion protection.
