The Porta-Duct is a portable hose that is built within a transportable carrying bag The wear strip protects the flex duct from scrapes that the hose may experience when moved in exterior spaces. The Porta-Duct is a portable air conditioning hose. This duct is designed to work in ambient temperatures and is rated at -20°F to +165° F. The Porta-Duct is available in 25 ft. lengths and in popular ID (inside diameter) sizes which are: 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 24 in. The 2 ends of the hose are finished, one with an enclosed belted cuff and the other end with an enclosed nylon ring. The Porta-Duct has a built-in sack with handles for easy transportation. This hose has a 10-to-1 compression ratio which results in a highly compressible and flexible duct that can maneuver around equipment and permanent structures with ease. This flexible duct is made from a PVC vinyl laminated polyester fabric. The PVC coated polyester fabric is then reinforced with a steel wire helix and then an external wear strip is added to the protrusions that are caused by the wire. The PVC coated fabric wall contains chlorine and fluorine, which are known for their stability. This chemical stability enables flexible PVC to be resistant to stressors like flame, chemicals, and oil. The Porta-Duct is certified as a flame retardant product per NFPA 701 flame propagation requirements.
